Zhen Lu

Zhen Lu is the co-founder and CEO of Runpod, a $120M+ ARR platform providing scalable AI infrastructure for developers and machine learning teams. Previously a software engineering manager at Comcast and an assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh, he combines deep technical expertise with a community-driven approach to building developer tools. He holds a PhD in computational chemistry from Temple University, where his research focused on the electronic structure of DNA base pairs. Zhen is passionate about making AI infrastructure accessible, reliable, and production-ready for teams of all sizes.
