A leading manufacturing company based in Mechelen is looking for an IT/OT Engineer to accelerate the site's digital transformation. In this strategic role, the focus will be on translating operational needs into scalable digital solutions that enhance efficiency, quality, and reliability across production.
In this role as IT/OT Engineer, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Actively contribute to the site's digital evolution by turning operational needs into concrete actions based on clear data analysis.
- Encourage teamwork across departments to find opportunities for improvement and build more efficient, sustainable processes.
- Support the adoption of new digital tools through structured communication, training, and hands-on guidance.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by using key performance indicators to track progress over time.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and translate new technologies into useful, practical solutions for the production environment.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SQL?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Holds a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, or has equivalent expertise gained through hands-on experience.
- Previous exposure to digital transformation or process enhancement (within a manufacturing or industrial setting is an advantage. SQL and Power BI knowledge will be an asset).
- Extensive understanding of operational excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma,...).
- Comfortable navigating and applying modern digital solutions.
- Combines sharp analytical thinking with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and drive transformation.
- Operates with ease in both Dutch- and English-speaking environments.
