Job description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Windows System Engineer to join our IT squad. You will be responsible for the maintenance and security of our Windows-based systems, including configuration, maintenance and security of our desktops, laptops, and HVDs. This is an excellent opportunity for a technical professional to utilize their skills and expertise to support our organization with a constant focus on our customers., The key responsibilities can be consolidated into the following areas:

Maintain Windows-based systems, including desktops, laptops, and HVDs

Ensure the security and integrity of Windows systems, including patch management, vulnerability assessment, and compliance with security policies

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Windows systems, web browsers, and GPO's

Develop and implement scripts using PowerShell to automate tasks and improve system efficiency

Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of Windows systems with other IT systems and infrastructure

Provide technical support to end-users on Windows systems, web browsers, and other related technologies
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Dutch Sound working knowledge

Education
Bachelor degree or equivalent by experience
Required experience / knowledge
At least 2 years experience, * 2+ years of experience in Windows system administration or support, with a strong focus on security and troubleshooting

In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems

Proficiency in PowerShell, including scripting and automation

Experience with web browsers for example Edge, Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox

Strong understanding of Windows security principles including authentication, authorization, and encryption

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide technical support.
Preferable
- Affinity with and knowledge of end-user tools (hard- and software)
- Microsoft 365 suite
- Automation skills (PowerPlatform)
- Experience with Windows system deployment as System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM, Intune)
- Knowledge of cloud-based services, including Microsoft Azure and Office 365
- Experience with IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL, * Affinity with the Agile Way of working
- Strong organizational insights
- Large enterprise experience
- Familiar with various IT systems
- Experience in project coordination
- Experience in a support environment (helpdesk, field support) and with the associated processes
