We are supporting our client, a leading Swiss financial infrastructure provider based in Zürich, in the recruitment of a Digital Workplace Support Engineer (m/w/d). This position offers the opportunity to join a highly skilled and dynamic team responsible for managing international networks, network security, and digital workplace services.
We are seeking a highly service-oriented and detail-focused Digital Workspace Supporter to ensure a stable and efficient IT environment for internal employees. You will be the first point of contact for end-user support, resolving issues reliably and working closely with the central IT team and external service providers. We are looking for a pragmatic, hands-on personality who drives key workplace IT initiatives, steps in for operational support when needed, and acts as deputy team lead. This role combines project responsibility, process optimization, and leadership skills-with a perspective for internalization
What you will do
- Modernize meeting rooms & lead MTR rollout o Assess current state, define standards, select hardware, manage vendors
- Plan and execute rollout including pilots, training, adoption & tracking
- Set up monitoring, support processes, and room SLAs
- Implement workplace standardization & lifecycle management
- Define and maintain client standards (baselines, accessories)
- Optimize end-to-end device lifecycle (procurement, IMACD, refresh/retire)
- Collaborate on Intune/Endpoint Manager, compliance, and software catalog
- Establish documentation and quality gates for consistent rollouts
- Introduce self-service stations for peripherals
- Create user-friendly workflows/kiosks for common items (mouse, keyboard, headsets, cables) o Integrate with ITSM for inventory, approvals, and asset tracking
- Provide quick guides, micro-learnings, and clear signage
- Operational support backup
- Provide 1st/2nd-level client onsite support when needed o Handle incidents/requests in ITSM, perform IMACD, coordinate escalations
- Deputize for team lead
- Support prioritization, stakeholder communication, and vendor management o Prepare status reports, risk management, and decision documentation
- Coach support team and promote continuous improvement
Requirements
- Extensive experience in workplace IT/endpoint management with proven project experience (ideally MTR/meeting room rollouts)
- Solid knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and device/room hardware; confident in ITSM environments and SLA-driven
- Strong execution skills: independent planning, structured execution, clear communication, and reliable stakeholder/vendor management
- Hands-on mentality: willingness and ability to step into operational support when needed
- Open to travel (e.g., cross-site rollouts, vendor/site visits)
- Excellent service orientation, reliability, structured work style, and clear communication skills.
Nice to Have
- ITIL Foundation or similar certification
- Experience with Enterprise-environment
- Meetingraum-Expertise (Microsoft Teams Rooms, Peripherie, Netzwerkgrundlagen)
- English language certificate: Cambridge: B2 First, C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency
Benefits & conditions
- Contract Duration: 12 months, with the option to extend or transition to a permanent (FTE) position
- Engagement: 80-100%
- Start date: 01.12.2025 till 01.12.2026 / option for transfer to FTE role
- Location Requirement: The customer site is located in Zürich.
- Possibility to work from home and On-site Presence: 60% expected in Zürich
- Working Hours: 100% workload, 40 hours per week
