Job description

We are looking for a Level 1 IT Support Engineer to provide first-line technical assistance to users and ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems. You will handle day-to-day IT support tasks, diagnose and resolve issues, and escalate more complex incidents to senior engineers when necessary., Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide desktop and server support to internal users.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Escalate unresolved IT issues to the IT Manager or Level 2/3 engineers.
  • Install and configure authorized software, desktops, and laptops.
  • Perform antivirus installations, updates, and system security checks.
  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Server, Desktop, and Exchange environments.
  • Conduct fault finding, patching, and system maintenance for desktops, laptops, and phones.

System & User Administration:

  • Set up new user accounts, emails, and access rights in line with HR requirements.
  • Disable accounts for departing employees and maintain proper user records.
  • Manage backups, tape rotations, and archiving of mailboxes.
  • Maintain accurate logs for equipment, servers, and incidents.
  • Ensure all licensing and software records are properly maintained.

Operational & Administrative Support:

  • Assist in small to medium-sized IT projects as directed by the IT Manager.
  • Prepare IT-related documents, reports, and meeting materials.
  • Handle purchase requisitions for IT hardware and software.
  • Provide assistance to colleagues on IT-related matters.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism when supporting users.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, * 2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office/Exchange.
  • Basic understanding of networking and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Experience with user account management (Active Directory, email setups, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently., * How much experience do you have as IT Support?
