Job description
- Design and develop embedded software for FPGA-based test systems and instruments, including hardware abstraction layers (HAL) in C/C++ with tight integration to digital logic.
- Collaborate closely with hardware and FPGA teams to ensure seamless feature implementation and system integration.
- Define architecture decisions for optimal distribution of functionality between embedded processors and programmable logic (FPGA).
- Deliver high-quality software components on schedule, maintaining clear technical documentation and structured records.
- Perform verification and validation at module, device, and system levels, and support the full product lifecycle including debugging and optimization.
- Work with vendor toolchains for FPGA/software co-design and actively engage in cross-functional collaboration for cohesive system development.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (University, Diploma, or BS).
- Professional experience in embedded FPGA development, including digital design (SoC), FPGA methodologies, embedded software design, and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
- Hands-on expertise in RTL coding (Verilog, VHDL) and embedded programming (C/C++), plus familiarity with standard simulation tools for digital designs.
- Experience with FPGA vendor development toolchains and environments, as well as basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux and scripting/programming languages.
- Strong technical communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, combined with a systematic, solution-oriented approach.
- Creative and innovative mindset, solid English language proficiency.
