Job description
This role ensures the definition and realization of a robust HF communication system architecture supporting secure, reliable, and high-performance data transmission across space, ground, and user segments. The position drives technical integration, verification, and cross-domain alignment to fulfil mission objectives., * Define end-to-end architectures for RF-based communication systems, including RF front-end elements and baseband modulation
- Specify system-level requirements covering HF transmission, modulation schemes, link budgets, propagation models, and radio-access concepts
- Ensure interoperability and seamless integration across space, ground, and user mission segments
- Develop and oversee the multi-domain integration strategy for HF components and subsystems
- Establish interface specifications, integration workflows, and system-level verification checkpoints
- Review, coordinate and approve design, test, and verification deliverables from internal teams and subcontractors
- Oversee performance verification for HF systems (e.g., throughput, latency, spectral efficiency) and analyze test results for requirement traceability
- Represent the HF architecture discipline in reviews and contribute to innovation initiatives such as beamforming, adaptive modulation, and AI-driven optimization
Requirements
Do you have experience in Systems engineering?, * Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field
- Proven experience in RF systems, high-frequency communications, or satellite communication architecture
- Proven experience in multi-domain system integration and subcontractor coordination
- Deep understanding of HF communication principles, RF design, and digital signal processing
- Hands-on experience with link budget analysis, propagation modeling, and spectrum management
- Proficiency with systems engineering tools (e.g., MATLAB, STK, Simulink) and RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, signal generators)
- Knowledge of key technical standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., CCSDS, ITU, ECSS)
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills; INCOSE CSEP certification is a plus
