Job description
The HRIS Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of HR systems and processes, including managing the HR Help Desk, responding to employee questions, overseeing the new hire onboarding process, and handling all reporting and data analytics within the HRIS, payroll and billing system. This role serves as a key liaison between HR and Global IT, providing technical and functional support for HR systems and performing other HR generalist duties as assigned., * HR Help Desk Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HR system-related inquiries and troubleshooting.
- Resolve pending employee, active employee and manager issues promptly and escalate complex problems as needed.
- Onboarding Process Management
- Coordinate and maintain the onboarding workflow for new hires, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Partner with HR and hiring managers to deliver a seamless onboarding experience.
- Run New Hire Orientation on a weekly basis and assist new employees in setting up their employee profiles in the HRIS system and accessing the benefits enrollment portal in the payroll system.
- Reporting & Data Analytics
- Develop, maintain, and distribute standard and ad hoc reports from both the payroll and HRIS systems.
- Analyze HR data, and benefits claims data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- System Administration & Support
- Maintain data integrity within HRIS and payroll systems.
- Assist with system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new features.
- Act as lead when a new system or upgrade is introduced in the NOA market.
- Other Duties as Assigned
- Collaborate with IT and HR teams on special projects.
- Support compliance audits and ensure adherence to data security protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years experience running a help desk & managing systems in a fast paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of reporting functions in payroll systems and ability to document HR processes.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, HRIS reporting modules).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ADP, SAP and JD Edwards.
- Familiarity with HR compliance requirements and data privacy regulations.
- Project management experience is a plus.
