Job description
Are you experienced in Azure Databricks as an Architect and do you like to drive our enterprise data lakehouse platform to the next level? Then this is your chance to join the Global IT Solutions, Business Intelligence and Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE) team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Your responsibilities consist of:
- Evolve our Azure Databricks-based data lakehouse strategy
- Design scalable, cost-efficient and secure architectures for ingestion, transformation and consumption of enterprise data
- Oversee the orchestration of data pipelines, workflows and platform operations using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory and related services
- Establish standards for governance, performance, monitoring, and reusability of data assets.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to technical leads and engineering teams.
- Act as the key escalation point for architectural decisions and technical challenges in projects.
- Support capability building within the BI & Analytics CoE by mentoring, training, and enabling adoption of best practices.
- Apply strong knowledge of FMCG industry processes (e.g., sales, supply chain, manufacturing, finance) to design data solutions that drive tangible value.
- Leverage experience with SAP data models (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, etc.) to ensure optimized data extraction, modeling, and integration approaches.
- Lead the technical leads in the collaboration with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, business-ready data solutions.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Supply chain?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or platform architecture roles, with 5+ years focused on Azure Databricks.
- Proven track record architecting and delivering data lakehouse platforms at enterprise scale.
- Experience in FMCG business environments and deep understanding of associated data needs.
- Hands-on expertise with SAP data models and integration methods.
- Deep expertise in Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark, and distributed data processing.
- Strong knowledge of Azure ecosystem: Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS, Purview, Event Hub, etc.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data pipeline orchestration frameworks.
- Solid foundation in data modeling, governance, security, and performance optimization.
- Ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and guide architectural decisions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across business and IT.
- Strategic thinker who can translate enterprise vision into actionable technical roadmaps.
