Job description
In this role, you'll design clear, reliable workflows and consistent UX for a complex technical application being built in react. You'll contribute to our design system, run lean research, and ship pragmatic UX that reduces operator friction.
You will collaborate with front-end engineers, product owners, end users and the Platform Product Director to deliver polished, performant web and mobile experiences., * Design And Development
o Turn requirements into task flows, wireframes, and UI specs for information-dense, desktop control environments.
o Contribute and maintain a unified design system (components, style guides, patterns, fonts, icons) that informs both design and code.
o Document patterns, tone of voice document and collaborate with front-end on Storybook parity.
- Cross functional collaboration:
o Partner in delivery: Collaborate with Product Management-UX-Engineering- User groups to translate user pains or requirements into stories with product management.
o Facilitate regular design critiques, demos of the mock-ups and translate the results in actionable stories, decision logs.
- Process and Quality
o Guardrail the UX consistency: Provide crisp specs (states, errors, empty/loading), accessibility notes (WCAG), and acceptance criteria and adherence to Tone of Voice.
o Review UI in dev releases and ensure pixel perfect implementations.
o Review lighthouse results, storybook results and provide feedback.
- User Research
o Plan and conduct user interviews, usability tests, and A/B experiments surveys to foster user empathy, evidence based UX decisions, and fewer reworks.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Usability?, a. 2-5 years in UI/UX design. Demonstrable expertise in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
b. Strong portfolio of responsive web and mobile designs.
c. Prototyping & Animation: Skilled with Framer, Principle, or Lottie for interactive prototypes.
d. Data-Driven Design: Comfortable using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel) to inform iterative improvements.
- Development Skills:
a. Proficient in HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid), different design systems, storybook.
b. Experience in creating a tone of voice document for the users of the application.
- Communication and Aptitude:
a. Proven ability to articulate design rationale and technical trade-offs to diverse audiences.
b. Triad partner: works in PM-UX-Eng triad; balances user value, technical feasibility, and delivery timelines.
c. Fast learner in complex domains: Picks up new workflows and system constraints quickly and asks sharp clarifying questions with humility.
d. Excellent communication in English. Dutch would be a plus.
