Job description

We're looking for a highly experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer who thrives in a large, dynamic environment and knows how to balance deep technical expertise with strong communication skills. The role sits within the ITIL Processes Team, part of a major ServiceNow landscape supporting around 18,000 business customers and services. The focus is clear: About 80 percent of your work centers on development, building, improving, and innovating. Around 20 percent involves consultancy and communication and we're actively encouraging this part to grow as you engage more with the business, challenge assumptions, and guide decision-making., You'll join one of three teams, each consisting of around eight developers, combining in-house staff and external specialists across the Netherlands and India. The broader platform includes teams dedicated to:

  • Portal & Knowledge
  • Complaint Handling
  • ITIL Processes (your team)

Become the ServiceNow Developer!

Do you take pride in designing business processes that truly work? Are you the type of developer who creates solutions that bring joy to the people who use them? Do you want to join an international, curious team that challenges itself and you every single day?

If your answer is yes, then step into a role where your skills matter, your ideas count, and your growth is part of the job.

Your role as a ServiceNow Developer

We use the ServiceNow platform to make business processes as effective and seamless as possible for both our external customers and our own service organization. As a ServiceNow Developer, you collaborate closely with user groups and the Product Owner to translate needs into smart, elegant, reliable solutions. You'll work in an international team filled with expertise and energy.

Continuous learning is part of who we are. You grow, we grow, and the platform grows.

Your responsibilities * Helping the Product Owner understand user needs and refining stories together within scrum sprints.

  • Developing and implementing solutions alongside your teammates, involving other teams where needed and ensuring knowledge is secured across the team.
  • Owning and resolving incidents as part of DevOps, using them to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Handling recurring operational tasks while constantly finding ways to simplify and automate them.

Requirements

Do you have experience in XML?, You're seasoned, not someone still "finding their way", but a professional with years of hands-on experience. You detect and solve complex problems with confidence, and you communicate clearly and directly. We're not looking for a "soft-spoken sweater-wearer": we want someone who can debate, advise and interact with the business as a trusted expert.

Dutch fluency is preferred, but a strong English-speaking candidate is absolutely welcome., * ITIL V3 knowledge or certification.

  • Higher professional education level (IT-related)
  • Minimum 5 years of ServiceNow ITSM experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in ServiceNow portal development.
  • Experience with ServiceNow CSM (TSM) is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of AngularJS and scripting/programming languages such as JavaScript, XML and HTML.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong prioritization and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Experience with Agile/DevOps is an advantage.
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and contributing to team growth.

Benefits & conditions

  • A one-year contract with the possibility of extension
  • A 37-hour work week
  • Salary range: € 5.500.00 to € 7.200.00 (based on 40 hours and depending on experience)
  • Hybrid working, with home-office and travel expense allowances
  • Holiday allowance, a 13th-month bonus and pension benefits
