The Senior Flight Dynamics Mission Analyst (MA) will act as a cornerstone of the Mission Analysis function within the integrated Flight Dynamics (FD) team at Eutelsat Group. This team operates in a matrix-style organization, spanning three technical verticals: Software, Mission Analysis, and Operations Engineering.
This role reports to theFlight Dynamics & Mission Analysis Senior Manager and collaborates closely with FD peers across GEO and LEO programs to enable synergies in design, planning, and operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Mission Analysis Leadership
- Perform full mission lifecycle analysis from launch to de-orbit, including:
- Launch Window Analysis
- Maneuver Planning and Performance Analysis
- Trajectory Design and Optimization
- Orbit Determination
- Constellation Analysis
- Perturbation and Error Analysis
- Conjunction Assessment, Collision Avoidance and Space Traffic Management
- Lead and contribute to constellation-level optimization initiatives to maximize mission uptime, efficiency and fuel life.
- Drive development and validation of mission analysis algorithms and tools supporting LEO and GEO operations and engineering.
- Participate in and provide mission analysis expertise during the design, engineering, and procurement activities for current and future Eutelsat Group systems, ensuring seamless integration into Eutelsat Group's GEO-LEO architecture.
- Support system readiness, planning, preparation, execution, and evaluation for all phases of spacecraft lifetime: from launch to mission to de-orbit.
- Mentor, support, and provide guidance to junior Flight Dynamics Engineers and Mission Analysts, fostering technical growth and excellence across the FD team.
Systems Development & Automation
- Support Flight Dynamics System (FDS) development and validation, including automation of mission analysis processes.
- Contribute to requirements development, verification, and interface control documentation.
- Write and maintain engineering specifications, technical reports, and CONOPS documentation.
Operations Support
- Provide expert-level support during nominal operations and critical events (e.g., off-nominal maneuver sequences, launches, anomaly resolution).
Requirements

You want to make a real difference by advancing and enabling technology that connects the world., * MS or PhD in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in spacecraft astrodynamics including orbit determination, maneuver planning, trajectory design.
- Strong expertise in perturbation and error analysis, and numerical optimization techniques.
- Experience with mission analysis tools and standard astrodynamics software packages: OREKIT, GMAT, STK, SPICE, others.
- Proficiency with Python and/or Java.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work proactively, independently and in a matrixed organization.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.

What We'd Love:
