Job description

The Control Testing and Assurance (CT&A) team is responsible for providing assurance testing on the design and operating effectiveness of the businesses' control environment and adherence to applicable regulations and the Bank's policies. CT&A develops and executes an annual, risk based testing plan that covers the risk categories owned by Compliance & AFC, across all businesses in the region. The role is for an AVP in CT&A Data Analytics team based out of Bangalore to support the testers globally in planning, delivery and execution with data analysis across Compliance/Financial crime testing reviews., * Planning, sourcing and analyzing data to support in the delivery and execution of Compliance/Financial crime Testing reviews and other activities.

  • Collaborate with various IT teams in different businesses area as required on Data collection strategy.
  • Carrying out data analysis and presenting analytical findings in a user-friendly way.
  • Interacting with subject matter experts to identify and analyse data elements, report findings or conclusions, and suggest approaches for enhancing CT&A coverage.
  • Manage, associate and analyse large and complex data from multiple sources to recommend possible issues/gaps in business controls.
  • Collaborating with regional and global partners in other functional units;
  • Actively support the business strategy, plans and values, contributing to the achievement of a high-performance culture
  • Take ownership for own career management, seeking opportunities for continuous development of personal capability and improved performance contribution

Requirements

  • Bachelors or master's degree in computers/Mathematics/statistics
  • 8-11 years' experience with data analysis and/or data mining. Experience and knowledge in banking and finance will be desirable
  • Understanding of structured and unstructured data, Data Visualization, Data Management, Data Quality Assurance and Data logic.
  • Understanding of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies, and measurement / analytics of such
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Excel, Access, power point etc.)
  • Experience in Big Data Technologies, SAS, SQL, Power BI, Tableau and VBA is required.
  • Exposure in R, Python is a plus
  • Experience in Compliance Testing or Internal/External Audit/Surveillance is an advantage.
  • Strong team player with demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with peers and business leaders.
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret information and reach logical fact-based conclusions
