Job description
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a Consultant Specialist.
In this role, you will:
Ensuring service solutions are operable, recoverable, and maintainable and are transitioned into Production with the minimal disruption.
Service Transition
- Develop and maintain the service transition framework, ensuring alignment with HSBC's overall strategy and objectives.
- Lead the planning and coordination of service transition activities, managing resources, timelines, and risks effectively.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, service owners, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and timely transition of projects and changes.
- Ensure that new applications are introduced to Production are compliant with the Bank's supportability standards and Risk framework.
- Produce regular and ad hoc reporting on the progress of Transitions to senior set of stakeholders.
Change Management
- Evaluate and prioritize change requests, assessing their impact on services, systems, and stakeholders
- Ensure that all change-related documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Chair and facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, ensuring all relevant parties are engaged and informed about upcoming changes.
- Oversee the post-implementation review process to evaluate the success and impact of changes.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of change management processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure that the CAB maintains a forward schedule of changes, to anticipate and manage potential conflicts and collisions.
- Work collaboratively with problem management teams to analyse post change related incident reports and to avoid reoccurrence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in service transition, change management, or a related area, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Proven track record in successfully managing complex projects and transitions.
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices and change management principles.
- Familiarity with global payment systems, processes, and technologies
