Junior IT Engineer/Technican

The role will incorporate, (but may not be limited to) the following:

• Building and issue of laptops within the organisation
• Software installations as required
• Advise on basic device operations & peripherals
• User network connectivity through wired/wireless connections.
• Remote access through VPN tunnel as may be required.
• Build and install of Desktop workstations, laptops and peripherals as user end points as required.
• Installation and basic support for end user devices such as printers, chat recorders, RFID readers, SGM Guns and addressing any troubleshooting as may arise.
• Break fix support for Laptops & Desktops & peripherals running Windows OS. While majority are on Win 10 there are also devices running on lower windows OS that support legacy business applications
• Engagement with other IT teams Applications, Infrastructure & network as required to support EUD installations & break fix
• Manual Software installations from various media. While most are Win10, Win 7 & WinXP devices are in operation for legacy applications
• Support of users working remotely using remote desktop support tools
• Use of IT ticketing system to capture, track & update IT incidents & requests in a timely manner.
