The Role

You'll play a key part in supporting the design function, ensuring that all project documentation is accurately managed, tracked, and kept fully up to date. This includes drawings, specifications, reports, and technical submissions. The role will see you working day-to-day with the design team, helping maintain smooth document workflows and supporting project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the full document lifecycle: receiving, registering, issuing, and archiving.

Maintain version control and ensure all stakeholders are working from the latest documents.

Support the design team with technical submissions, approvals, and coordination.

Monitor document flow to ensure deadlines and compliance requirements are met.

Carry out document audits and housekeeping to maintain accuracy and efficiency.

Provide guidance to team members on document control processes and systems.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Document Controller within design, architecture, engineering, or construction.

Strong background working with technical teams and interpreting drawings, specifications, and submissions.

Knowledge of document management systems / EDMS (e.g. SharePoint, Aconex, or similar).

Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.

Confident communicator, able to liaise with design staff, consultants, and contractors.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Benefits & conditions

Permanent position with long-term career potential.
