Job description
We're looking for exceptional graduates with strong academic backgrounds in Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, or Economics. Any prior commercial experience - such as a placement year or post-university analytical role - will be highly valued. What you'll be doing
- Apply mathematical and statistical techniques to support business decision-making, forecast performance, and quantify uncertainty.
- Use data analysis and data mining to understand customer behaviour, revenue performance, and identify new commercial opportunities.
- Specify, implement, and maintain datasets to support statistical and probability-based model development.
- Carry out detailed, well-documented analysis to support model development and generate actionable insights.
- Contribute to scenario and probability modelling to assess risk, opportunity, and gross margin outcomes.
- Support monthly performance reporting and analytical reviews across the business.
- Present findings and insights clearly to non-technical audiences, helping stakeholders make informed decisions.
Requirements
An exciting opportunity for an analytically minded graduate to join a highly commercial business function, contributing to the development of analytical strategy, decision-support modelling, and data-driven insight., * Degree (2:1 or above) in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a closely related field.
- Further MSc in a quantitative discipline advantageous.
- Strong understanding of statistical modelling, probability, and data-driven decision analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a logical and curious mindset.
- Proficient in Excel, with the ability to manipulate and interrogate large datasets.
- Exposure to tools such as VBA, SPSS, SAS, R, or Python is beneficial.
