Job description

We're seeking a strategic and operational CTO to lead governance, infrastructure, and platform scalability, with a proven track record of taking complex systems from inception to enterprise-grade global scale.

Your focus will be on enterprise-grade delivery, ensuring the platform is credible to large clients, scalable across geographies, and robust in its security, compliance, and system design., Technology Governance and Platform Integrity

  • Build and implement security, compliance, and governance frameworks (data privacy, auditability, access controls).
  • Oversee DevOps, infrastructure, deployment tooling, and automated release cycles.
  • Define protocols for change management, testing environments, and platform documentation.

Systems Architecture and Scale

  • Lead the development of a resilient, modular, and observable system architecture.
  • Ensure infrastructure can support open-source and enterprise deployments across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Translate R&D breakthroughs into scalable, production-ready systems.

Team and Process Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performance engineering team across the UK and offshore locations.
  • Establish repeatable delivery frameworks, sprint cadence, and technical quality controls.
  • Foster a culture of clean code, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.

External Credibility

  • Act as a technical point of contact for enterprise clients, investors, and partners.
  • Contribute to pitches, legal reviews, vendor assessments, and due diligence.
  • Represent the company in key discussions and, where relevant, at conferences or industry events.

Requirements

Do you have experience in System design?, * 10+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, and enterprise system design.

  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, observability, and secure architecture.
  • Credible with investors, clients, and partner CTOs.
  • Calm, structured, and experienced in scaling both systems and teams.
  • Process-driven and strong people leader.
  • UK or EU timezone preferred; London-based ideal.

Bonus Experience

  • Intelligent automation, agent-based systems, or workflow orchestration.
  • Enterprise SaaS, open-source infrastructure, or hybrid deployment architectures.
  • Experience in regulated sectors such as finance, healthcare, or the public sector.
