Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We're looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a forward-thinking IT function, supporting and optimising core infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and private data centre environments.

This hands-on role involves designing, maintaining, and securing hybrid cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and resilience across critical business systems., * Configure, maintain, and support servers and services across Azure and on-premises environments.

• Implement and manage Azure services including VMs, Storage, Load Balancers, Gateways, and Application Services.
• Support hybrid environments using Active Directory, Group Policy, and Azure AD Connect.
• Deliver robust backup, disaster recovery, and security solutions.
• Act as an escalation point for complex incidents and lead root cause analysis.
• Automate operational tasks with PowerShell or Azure Automation.
• Collaborate with Networking, Security, and Modern Workplace teams on cross-functional projects.

• Strong experience managing Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructures.
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server, AD, Group Policy, and virtualisation technologies.
• Proven background in system optimisation, monitoring, and security.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Terraform, Bicep, or similar).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Azure certifications (Administrator Associate / Solutions Architect Expert) desirable.
