A product-led SaaS company is investing in their internal platform function to support multiple engineering teams. You'll join a small, high-impact group responsible for the tooling, infrastructure, developer experience and reliability that underpins their global product.
This isn't a ticket-based ops role - it's platform engineering with autonomy, ownership and influence. What You'll Be Doing
- Building and evolving internal platform services used by multiple product teams
- Designing and improving developer workflows and environments
- Improving CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and release practices
- Working on cloud infrastructure architecture (AWS or Azure)
- Maintaining and growing Kubernetes clusters + container platforms
- Owning IaC patterns and best practice across the engineering organisation
- Supporting engineering teams with tooling, observability and performance
Tech Environment
Languages / Tooling:
- Go, TypeScript, Python (nice-to-have), Bash scripting
Infrastructure & Platform:
- Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE or self-managed)
- Docker
- Terraform (core), Pulumi or AWS CDK
- AWS or Azure cloud services
- VPC/networking, load balancing, service mesh (Istio/Linkerd a bonus)
Automation / CI/CD:
- GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins
- Automated testing + security scanning in pipelines
- Artifact management, container registries
Observability & Operability:
- Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry
- Logging pipelines (ELK/Loki/Cloud-native tools)
- Feature flagging, rollout strategies, blue/green, canary
Requirements
- Strong background in platform engineering, DevOps or SRE
- Experience building internal tools/platforms for software teams
- Familiar with modern cloud-native approaches (containers, IaC, CI/CD)
- Able to improve reliability, developer experience and speed of delivery
- Comfortable working with autonomy in a small team
