Job description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Engineer to join our growing team. This role involves delivering both remote and onsite support, as well as carrying out installations across the full IT infrastructure stack. The successful candidate will work directly with our clients, ensuring their IT systems are secure, reliable, and optimised for business performance.

This is a hands-on role that covers everything from user endpoints to cloud services, networking, and connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st-3rd line technical support to clients, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.

  • Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems including:

  • Endpoints: PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.

  • Microsoft 365 services: Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, etc.

  • Networks: switches, firewalls, routers, Wi-Fi access points.

  • Connectivity: broadband, leased lines, VPNs, and remote access solutions.

  • Assist with new client onboarding, including setup and migration of IT environments.

  • Carry out Microsoft 365 tenant migrations and related project work.

  • Ensure documentation and asset records are accurate and kept up to date.

  • Proactively monitor client environments and resolve issues before they impact users.

  • Provide technical guidance and training to end-users as required.

  • Maintain a strong focus on customer service, ensuring all work is completed to high standards.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * Previous experience in an IT support/installation role, ideally in an MSP or service-focused environment.

  • Strong knowledge of:

  • Windows 10/11, macOS (desirable), and mobile operating systems (iOS/Android).

  • Microsoft 365 administration and support.

  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, firewalls, Wi-Fi).

  • Remote access/VPN technologies.

  • Familiarity with RMM and ticketing tools (desirable).

  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Full UK driving licence (essential for onsite visits).
