Job description
We're representing an MSP in the south looking for an experienced and proactive 2nd Line IT Engineer to join their MSP team. Their ideal candidate will provide high-quality technical support to clients while also assisting with infrastructure and project delivery. This role suits someone who thrives in a dynamic, multi-client environment and enjoys balancing day-to-day support with hands-on project work., * Provide 2nd line technical support via phone, remote tools, and onsite visits.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Support and implement IT infrastructure projects, including migrations, upgrades, and deployments.
- Maintain and monitor client systems, networks, and security environments.
- Document technical issues, fixes, and project progress in line with internal processes.
- Collaborate with 1st and 3rd line engineers to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and client satisfaction initiatives.
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience in an MSP or similar fast-paced IT environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, and virtualisation.
- Experience with backup, security, and monitoring tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and client service skills.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco) desirable.
