Job description
Seven Resourcing is seeking an experienced ICT Project Manager to lead, manage, and deliver a range of information and communications technology (ICT) projects and services. This position supports the Council's ICT investment strategy and delivery programme, ensuring that all solutions meet business needs and adhere to national and professional standards., * Plan, manage, and deliver one or more complex ICT projects, ensuring completion within agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards.
- Take professional responsibility for all technical and supplier relationship management aspects of ICT systems, infrastructure, and services.
- Lead and motivate project teams in a matrix management environment, providing technical expertise, guidance, and mentoring.
- Develop and maintain ICT strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with corporate and departmental objectives.
- Identify and implement innovative technical and business solutions to improve systems, processes, and services.
- Manage and mitigate ICT risks to ensure business continuity and effective service delivery.
- Prepare and conduct meetings, workshops, and presentations for diverse technical and non-technical audiences, including senior management.
- Ensure all documentation is produced to appropriate standards and maintained efficiently.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Project management?, * Degree-level qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Extensive IT experience, including management in a technical environment.
- Proven track record in programme and project management (Prince2 methodology preferred).
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing budgets within defined constraints.
- Strong background in procurement, contract management, and partnership working.
- Evidence of delivering cross-functional ICT change programmes.
Desirable
- Prince2 Practitioner or MSP Foundation (or above).
- Experience implementing and supporting local or national initiatives in public sector or local government.
- Knowledge of Care Act or health and social care systems., * IT project management or similar: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience (required)
