Job description
A global trading organisation is seeking a skilled C# Developer to join a high-impact team dealing with business critical projects. This an exciting opportunity to contribute to strategic solutions while being part of a broader modernisation programme into a cloud and data platform focused environment.
As the business moves away from legacy systems and invests in modern architecture, you'll work at the intersection of stability and transformation - ensuring continuity in existing applications while helping shape the future tech landscape.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop and maintain full-stack solutions using C#, SQL, and front-end technologies like React.
- Support mission-critical regulatory applications as part of a collaborative, Agile feature team.
- Contribute to the strategic migration from legacy platforms to a cloud-based architecture using Python, Azure, and Databricks.
- Apply best practices in DevOps, CI/CD, and test-driven development.
- Participate in technical governance and architectural decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable software in a Kanban Agile environment.
Requirements
- 3-6 years' experience as a software engineer or similar.
- Strong skills in C#, SQL, REST APIs, and single-page web applications.
- Hands-on experience with Azure, Git, CI/CD, and DevOps tooling.
- Exposure to or interest in Python and Databricks as part of a modern data ecosystem.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Docker, Kubernetes, Octopus, Artifactory, Oracle, and SQL Server.
- A problem-solver with a strong understanding of software development practices.
- Experience working in Financial Services is a plus, but not essential.
Benefits & conditions
- Play a pivotal role in a cloud transformation journey using modern data and analytics platforms.
- Gain experience with emerging technologies including Python, Azure, and Databricks.
- Join a stable, globally recognised organisation with a strong culture of innovation.
- Enjoy a flexible hybrid working model and inclusive, collaborative culture.
