The Role: Working within the IT Commercial & Contracts Team, the Software Licensing Officer plays a key role in the management of IS software and ensuring compliance with software license agreements. The postholder will manage all software licenses for the university, including contributing to new procurement activities and contract renewals through provision of relevant data (i.e. usage, student numbers etc.), liaising with suppliers as required and ensuring licensing is compliant and fit for purpose. They will facilitate onboarding of new software through working with the central procurement team, input and maintain licensing related platforms, ensuring robust software asset management, and conduct regular software licensing audits ensuring software is fit for purpose, being utilised effectively and meets University business needs.
