Job description
Do you have a good knowledge of Windows, networking and application monitoring?
You could be progressing your career as an Operations Engineer at a global market data provider.
The company is transitioning from on-premise to a modern cloud based SaaS infrastructure, as an Operations Engineer you'll help bridge the gap between the two platforms, monitoring the application stack and infrastructure and collaborating with other teams and 3rd party vendors to investigate and address issues. You'll ensure monitoring coverage and visibility to issues is not affected and will be instrumental in deploying new software, including cloud migration initiatives.
Initially you'll be focussed on the Windows on-premise tech stack and enterprise monitoring although you'll be encouraged and supported to improve your technical skills, including AWS, Kubernetes and CI/CD, moving more towards the new platform / product.
Requirements
- You have a strong knowledge of Windows Server
- You have a good knowledge of networking e.g. TCP/IP, multicast
- You have experience with enterprise application monitoring using tools such as New Relic and Splunk
- You have a genuine enthusiasm for technology and are keen to improve your cloud experience and learn new things
- You have strong analysis and problem solving skills
- You're collaborative with great communication skills
