Full Stack Software Engineer (React & Python)

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building a cloud detection and response product that helps customers to identify and resolve cyber-attacks in cloud environments.

Please note this is a hybrid role, with a compulsory attendance of 2 days a week in the London office.

What will I be doing:

You will own the prototyping and development of new and innovative ideas to further improve Darktrace's services and offerings while balancing creativity, logical thinking and time constraints to implement novel features.

You'll find yourself collaborating with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, project co-ordinators and technical strategists to create cutting-edge projects and optimising solutions to improve both speed and scale. This role involves working with a wide range of infrastructures, languages and technologies. Additional Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient backend services and frontend interfaces using Python and React and relatable tech stacks,
• Collaborating closely with product teams, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features and improvements,
• Participating in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning to ensure best practices and high code quality,
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and system,
• Ensuring security best practices are followed in all aspects of development and deployment.

Our tech stack includes:

• Frontend: Typescript, React, NextJS, TailwindCSS, Cypress, Jest
• Backend: Python, ElasticSearch, Postgres, Redis, AWS/Azure/GCP, Cloudformation & Terraform, K8s, EKS

Technical experience should include:

• Full-stack development, with experience building and shipping reliable software across the stack,
• React or Python proficiency and a solid understanding of the fundamentals is expected,
• Interest in cybersecurity or cloud technologies would be valued.
