IT Technician

A school in Penzance require a knowledgeable IT Technician on a temporary basis to provide technical support and ensure the smooth operation of their IT systems.

The role is to start immediately and will finish just before Christmas

It is a full time position, working 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday, * Provide technical support for hardware and software issues

• Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues
• Assist users with software applications, including Microsoft Office, and provide help desk support as needed.
• Maintain and monitor IT systems, ensuring optimal performance across all operating systems including Linux.
• Communicate effectively with users to understand their needs and provide timely solutions while maintaining high levels of customer service.
• Collaborate with team members to implement IT projects and upgrades as required.

Do you have experience in macOS?, The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of computer networking, software troubleshooting, and customer service skills. This role is crucial in maintaining their IT infrastructure and providing assistance to end-users across various platforms.

The candidate must have an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS and be willing to come into our office in Truro ASAP to register with Concorde Recruitment., * Proven experience in IT support roles with a focus on desktop support, technical support, or help desk environments.

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and networking principles.
• Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux is essential.
• Experience with troubleshooting software issues and providing solutions in a timely manner.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with users at all levels of the organisation.
