Market Data Development lead

A leading global trading organisation is seeking a Market Data Development Team Lead to oversee the design, development, and delivery of its market data capabilities. This role leads a small technical team responsible for building and maintaining a robust data management platform that supports trading, risk, and analytics functions., * Lead and mentor a team of developers focused on market data solutions.

• Design and enhance data ingestion, parsing, and distribution systems.
• Manage and maintain market data curves and pricing structures.
• Collaborate with trading, risk, and IT stakeholders on data initiatives.
• Ensure systems meet high standards of performance, reliability, and security.
• Liaise with external data providers and exchanges to maintain data integrity.

• Proven experience in market data system development or data platform engineering.
• Strong background in ETL/ELT, data integration, and automation.
• Experience leading or mentoring technical teams.
• Exposure to commodities or financial trading environments.
• Familiarity with curve management, APIs, and modern deployment tools (e.g. Docker, CI/CD).
• Knowledge of platforms such as Zema and data from Price Reporting Agencies is an advantage.
