Job description

  • Technical Support : Provide hands-on technical assistance to staff and students, troubleshooting hardware and software issues promptly.

  • Network Management : Assist in managing the school's network, ensuring connectivity, security, and efficient data flow.

  • Hardware Maintenance : Maintain and repair computers, printers, projectors, and other IT equipment.

  • Software Installation and Updates : Install, configure, and update software applications across the school.

  • User Training : Conduct training sessions for staff and students on IT tools and systems.

  • Documentation : Keep accurate records of IT assets, incidents, and resolutions., 3. Provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK

  1. Undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and receive clearance. Please note that an enhanced check will reveal all criminal convictions on record, including those that might be considered 'spent'.

  2. Complete a Health Declaration form and New Starter Health Assessment Questionnaire with our occupational health provider, Spire.

Requirements

  • GCSEs: A minimum of 5 A-C or 1-5 GCSE passes, including English and Mathematics.

  • Passion for IT: An eagerness to learn and a genuine interest in technology.

  • Experience : Previous experience in a similar IT support role is desirable.

  • Technical Proficiency : Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems, hardware troubleshooting, and basic networking.

  • Problem-Solving : Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

  • Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Team Player : Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.

Benefits & conditions

Salary: Scale 2 Point 4, £29,025pa

Darrick Wood is an oversubscribed and successful 11-18 ten form entry mixed comprehensive academy, housed in modern buildings on an attractive site.
