Job description

The People Services System Administrator is responsible for the management of the Dayforce HRIS infrastructure and software, ensuring high availability, security, and efficiency. The role includes proactive monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting, supporting business continuity by addressing immediate technical issues and planning for future system requirements., * Manage, monitor, and optimise Dayforce infrastructure according to business standards and need, In line with the business continuity plans.

  • Inform relevant stakeholders of Dayforce notifications, including system maintenance, faults, and upgrades.
  • Lead or participate in Dayforce projects aimed at improving capabilities, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
  • Prepare and coordinate necessary actions for Dayforce upgrades, enhancements, new features and patches, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Attend Dayforce community meetings to stay updated on system enhancements and best practices.
  • Work with module leads to enhance processes related to Dayforce, focusing on continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Support module leads by addressing complex queries and providing solutions for unresolved issues.
  • Conduct diagnostics and analysis for reporting needs, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Drive process improvements, including optimising how system issues, requests and feedback are logged and resolved, as well as identifying any trends.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual HR Processes through system workflows and forms.
  • Maintain robust data integrity, ensuring data management of information is managed in line with GDPR.
  • Develop and maintain Dayforce documentation, including user guides, training materials and process maps in line with company Policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate user training to enhance effective use of the Dayforce system and improve user experience and engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft accreditation or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience as a Dayforce Systems Administrator / Client Administrator level.
  • Strong knowledge of at least 2 Dayforce modules (e.g. Core HCM, WFM, Payroll, Talent)
  • Experience in system monitoring, patch management, and managing complex IT environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical, sustainable solutions.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and deliver projects within deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative team player with demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
  • Knowledge and experience with XML
  • Strong background in process improvements
  • Experience with integrating Dayforce with other systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with Dayforce XML and forms.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, absence, performance management, compensation processes. Please note this role will require eligibility to work in the UK, two satisfactory employment references and a Basic DBS check, the cost of which will be met by Abbeyfield.
