Job description

We are looking for a IT Support Engineer to join our existing strong team supporting our growing base of managed service customers. The role is predominately based in our Wakefield office with customer site based work.

This is a great technical role with progression opportunities into infrastructure and leadership. Starting off you will be within our service desk, as well as assisting with project & infrastructure work including projects involving Cloud Migrations, networking and wireless installations., * Provide day to day support to our customers

  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents within agreed timescales
  • Attend customer sites for IT Support and planned support days
  • Collaborate with other Engineers on diagnosis and fault resolution
  • Project work including large-scale cloud migrations, installations and upgrades

Requirements

Do you have experience in iOS?, * 4+ years of demonstrable 2nd Line experience in IT service management.

· Ability to work across multiple clients (60+) and a variety of set-ups

· Exceptional interpersonal skills, emphasising active listening and questioning.

  • Motivated attitude toward professional standards and customer service.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting Microsoft Windows, Chrome and iOS devices.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, or Vendor qualifications are desirable but not essential

Technical skills to include;

  • Active Directory Administration including DHCP, DNS and Group Policy
  • Office 365, Intune and Microsoft Azure Administration
  • Expert knowledge of Office 365 product suite, licenses & features (MFA, Intune, Conditional Access).
  • Microsoft Server operating systems (2016 through to 2022)
  • Windows 10 & 11
  • Extensive Networking (TCP/IP) knowledge and troubleshooting experience (Ideally HPE Aruba & Ruckus)
  • Firewall Experience (Ideally Fortinet & Draytek)
  • Experience implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting backup solutions (Ideally Veeam, Azure & Redstor)
  • Hyper-V configuration and troubleshooting
  • VoIP
