Job description
Our Client is seeking an experienced Principal Consultant / Oracle Fusion HCM Lead to support and deliver key Oracle HCM Cloud projects across the UK public sector. This is a senior, hands-on role where you will lead functional workstreams, guide customers through the full implementation lifecycle, and translate complex technical solutions into clear, meaningful outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and delivering Oracle Fusion HCM implementations for UK public sector clients, with a focus on Core HR, Absence, Recruitment and Talent Management.
- Applying deep functional and sector expertise to provide best-practice guidance and solution leadership.
- Running System Integration Testing, supporting UAT, Payroll Parallel Reconciliation (PPR), and post-go-live hypercare.
- Working with key HCM tools including HCM Data Loader (HDL), HCM Extracts, BI Reporting, Fast Formulas, and Payroll Batch Loader.
- Explaining complex technical concepts to technical, business, and senior leadership stakeholders.
- Leading discussions with clients on integrations, data migration, and reporting requirements.
- Contributing across the full SDLC, including CRPs/Playback sessions, training preparation, and delivery.
- Producing RAG status reports, highlighting risks and mitigations, and maintaining detailed RAID logs.
Requirements
Essential Experience
- 12+ years implementing Oracle Fusion HCM for the UK public sector.
- Strong hands-on expertise across Core HR, Absence, Recruitment, and Talent Management.
- Proficiency with HDL, HCM Extracts, BI Reporting, Fast Formulae, Payroll Batch Loader.
- Excellent ability to communicate and present complex solutions to diverse audiences.
- Experience leading client discussions on integrations, data migration, and reporting.
- Full lifecycle implementation experience (SDLC).
Preferred
- Strong planning skills, particularly for release and delivery planning.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience mentoring and leading teams of 5+ members.
- Understanding of Lean / Agile methodologies.
