Job description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Technician to support the ICT infrastructure of a large secondary school in Oxford. This is a full-time, permanent position working within a forward-thinking ICT team.
About the School This Glasgow school is known for its excellent teaching, high student engagement, and strong digital strategy. Technology is embedded across the curriculum, and staff rely heavily on the ICT team to ensure smooth and effective running of systems.
About the Role Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the school network, servers, and switches
- Diagnosing network issues and resolving technical faults
- Managing user accounts, group policies, and permissions
- Overseeing backups, updates, and cybersecurity protocols
- Supporting classroom technology and AV systems
- Assisting with long-term ICT planning and upgrades
Requirements
- Experience in network support or ICT administration
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and hardware
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365
- Relevant IT/networking qualification preferred
