Job description

This Somerset secondary school is known for its strong digital strategy, excellent behaviour and modern infrastructure. Technology is central to learning across the curriculum, and the ICT department is a key support pillar for staff and students.

Role Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and monitoring the school's network, servers and switches
  • Troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues
  • Managing user accounts, security permissions and backups
  • Overseeing cybersecurity protocols and compliance
  • Supporting classroom technology, AV systems and school events
  • Assisting with long-term ICT planning and infrastructure upgrades

Requirements

  • Experience in network administration or advanced IT support
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and networking hardware
  • Excellent diagnostic and communication skills
  • Relevant IT/networking certifications desirable
