Job description

  • Lead the engineering and integration of subsea production control systems, including both hardware and software components.
  • Contribute to new product introduction (NPI) and R&D initiatives by prototyping innovative control solutions and supporting product qualification and field trials.
  • Develop and review functional design specifications, control narratives, and system architecture documents.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (API 17F, IEC, ISO) and client requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Support troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement of existing subsea control systems.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and innovation workshops to drive technical excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Automation, or Control Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation engineering, particularly with subsea production control systems.
  • Proficient in PLC/DCS programming (Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Rockwell).
  • Experience with SCADA systems, HMI development, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP).
  • Familiarity with subsea control modules, EPU, MCS, and hydraulic/electrical distribution systems.
  • Strong understanding of offshore oil & gas operations and safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to mentor others and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
