Job description

At Hammonds, technology is at the heart of our business, and as an IT Support Engineer you'll be the first point of contact when issues arise, combining technical expertise with clear communication to keep colleagues productive.

You will deliver first-line support across the entire supply chain, from sales and marketing to customer service, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, retail, and accounts, playing a vital role in maintaining smooth operations, supporting business continuity, and driving our ongoing growth and transformation., * Provide 1st line IT support to all business users.

  • Resolve day-to-day IT issues to prevent disruption to business operations.
  • Gain proficiency in our ArtiCAD design package and provide software support.
  • Maintain and manage the hardware asset register.
  • Support enterprise-wide and departmental applications.
  • Deliver proactive and reactive technical support to a diverse range of internal customers.
  • Maintain and continuously improve personal technical knowledge.
  • Provide telephone, remote access (for home workers), and on-site support (retail stores and service centres).
  • Update and execute support-related project plans and schedules.
  • Be part of an out-of-hours support rota if required.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * Knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10, 11 and Server 2022+).

  • Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Office 365.
  • General IT hardware knowledge, able to recognise and identify devices and components.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to prioritise complex problems.
  • Experience in laptop, PC and printer repair.
