  • Liaise with Temporary Works Coordinators, site teams and contractors to ensure designs are practical, safe and aligned with construction methods.
  • Produce calculations, sketches and design statements; work with technicians on drawings and 3D information.
  • Apply BS5975 and Eurocodes, ensuring compliance and robust procedural control.
  • Attend site to review constraints, collect information and support safe construction.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Tekla?, * 4-7 years' UK experience in temporary works design, structural engineering or a mix of both.

  • Strong understanding of BS5975 and Eurocodes.
  • Competent in Tedds, STAAD, Robot or similar analysis software, plus confident with hand calculations.
  • Able to communicate clearly with site teams and work closely with contractors.
  • Practical mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Full right to work in the UK and ability to commute to Leeds.

Desirable:

  • Experience with demolition-led temporary works or complex refurbishment projects.
  • Progression toward IEng or CEng (ICE/IStructE).
  • Familiarity with proprietary systems (Mabey, RMD, Ischebeck) and AutoCAD/Tekla/Revit.
