With a reputation built on technical excellence, innovation, and outstanding client service, this company offers the perfect environment for an engineer ready to grow., As an Intermediate Temporary Works Design Engineer, you'll play a key part in delivering safe, efficient, and innovative temporary works designs for a wide range of construction projects. You'll collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, and senior engineers to produce high-quality design solutions across:

  • Excavation support
  • Falsework and formwork
  • Access systems
  • Propping and façade retention
  • Groundworks and structural temporary solutions

Responsibilities

  • Produce temporary works design calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Work closely with senior engineers to develop designs and ensure full compliance with industry standards
  • Carry out technical checks and site visits as required
  • Provide engineering support to contractors and internal teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the design function

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline)
  • 2-5 years' experience in temporary works or structural design
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and temporary works principles
  • Proficient in engineering software (e.g., Tekla, CAD, or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive, team-focused approach
