Job description
Responsible for supporting, developing, and maintaining existing financial models with a specific emphasis on delivering commercial insight and supporting the forecasting and budgeting processes of the business., * Assist in the design and enhancement of existing models to support financial reporting and analytics.
- Conduct basic data quality checks and assist with issue investigation and resolution.
- Analyse large volumes of data and deliver findings in a simplified format.
- Support the integration of new acquisitions into financial models.
- Develop improvements across a range of models / internal processes and regularly test / analyse the models efficiency output.
- Support the Management Accounts Team with contribution to strategic projects, including acquisition planning and exploring alternatives to Excel-based modelling.
- Other tasks as reasonably required, including ad-hoc analysis, project work and supporting the Management Accounts Team., This is not meant to be an exhaustive list; the job holder may be required to undertake such other duties as Management may from time to time reasonably require.
Requirements
- BSc in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven advanced experience of financial modelling using Microsoft Excel
- Detail-oriented with a passion for improving data quality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in Finance, financial data or data-driven decision making.
- Excellent stakeholder-focus and the willingness to take ownership of projects.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- High degree of self-motivation.
- Eagerness to learn new tools, technologies, and data modelling methodologies.
