Job description

Identify the priority data management outcomes for each data category and show how these link to business outcomes

Develop demonstrable data ownership engagement and capability KPIs for each data category related to the data management outcomes

Manage the delivery of the data ownership maturity roadmap and track performance against the KPIs to evidence an improvement in the data ownership capabilities

Responsibilities

Provide regular updates on progress against the data ownership maturity roadmap and KPIs to the sponsors in Information Management and other relevant stakeholders

Build relationships and manage engagement with business teams and relevant IT or other backoffice specialist SMEs who own and control data across 5 conceptual data categories eg HR Network Operations

Coach business data owners on their data ownership responsibilities

treat data as a shared asset that can be used for others

identify critical data and create data glossaries

raise data risks issues so they can be managed and mitigated

incorporate good data management through business process improvements or data enhancement cleansefix etc

Mobilise and run data management groups for each data area maybe forumsworking groupstaskforces

Organise regular meetings and keep in touch session for each data category Arranging attendance and tracking minutes and actions

Support the data management groups to identify the data management priority areas

Liaise with project teams and other business areas to share knowledge on the activities undertaken within the data governance teams with relevant stakeholders across client.

Promote a strong data culture Leading the adoption of a datadriven culture by promoting awareness education and advocacy of data governance principles tools and best practice across all levels and business areas.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Spark?, Mature clients data ownership capability across 5 conceptual data categories by embedding foundational data ownership Data owners should understand what data they own and adopt their responsibilities for managing that data in collaboration with IT so it is fit for purpose in delivering business outcomes, Excellent communicator ability to influence at all levels in the organisation and can convey complex concepts by adopting appropriate style to suit the audience across different business and technical backgrounds

Strong collaborator experience of cross functional working and building strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups through sharing resources skills knowledge and ideas and chairing or supporting data governance forums or committees

Extensive knowledge of data governance frameworks such as DAMADMBOK

Proficient in data management tools and data management disciplines of metatdata management

Understanding of data modelling data engineering and data architecture principles

Knowledge or experience of areas of compliance Ofgem data regulation and risk management

Familiarity with data quality management data security and data privacy regulations Skills
