Job description
We're looking for a Lead Magento Developer to join a fast-growing eCommerce team and take ownership of delivering high-quality Magento 2 solutions across multiple websites and digital projects. This is a senior, hands-on role with plenty of autonomy, technical influence, and the chance to shape the direction of a modern, scalable eCommerce platform.
What you'll be doing
- Leading the development, optimisation and maintenance of Magento 2 builds
- Architecting technical solutions across multi-store environments
- Developing custom modules, integrations and high-performance functionality
- Overseeing code quality, reviews, standards and best practices
- Working closely with eCommerce, UX, design and commercial teams
- Taking technical ownership of releases, performance, and overall platform reliability
- Mentoring junior developers and contributing to wider engineering strategy
Requirements
- Strong, proven experience with Magento 2 (Commerce or Open Source)
- Advanced PHP, MySQL, JavaScript understanding
- Experience delivering custom modules, API integrations and scalable builds
- Solid grasp of performance optimisation, caching and security patches
- Confident working with Git, CI/CD, and modern development workflows
- Ability to lead projects, influence technical direction and communicate well across teams
