Job description

Are you ready to step into a role that will enable you to partner with executive level stakeholders, while giving you the autonomy to drive forward your own data and BI projects?

If so, you would be a great fit as a Business Intelligence Developer at this leading Housing Association based in the South-West.

As Business Intelligence Developer, you will join a business whose long-term vision is to reach self-service by Power BI, and this role is integral to pull together the building blocks to make that a reality.

Your team will consist of BI Developers, Senior Data Analysts, Data Analysts and Business Analysts who are all working together to identify requirements and translate those into workable business solutions. Your role will be to build Power BI solutions from scratch so you will use your technical expertise to guide, advise and build data solutions.

This role has is being offered as a 12 month Fixed term contract.

As Business Intelligence Developer, you will:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of BI solutions for a range of projects across the organisation.
  • Design and build reporting outputs for senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Work with large and complex data sets to provide insight across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand requirements and build solutions.
  • Help drive data quality and data governance

Requirements

  • 5+ Years using Power BI / Tableau
  • Excellent SQL skills: writing, tuning queries, understanding when to use CTEs, etc.
  • Familiarity with version control and coding/documentation
  • Collaborating with senior stakeholders across a business to understand data requirements
  • You will be a approachable and knowledgeable team member who is passionate about getting the best from data
