  • Define and promote data standards, principles, patterns, and governance across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with product owners, engineers, business analysts, and security teams to ensure data solutions are scalable, secure, and user-centred.

  • Contribute to the design and evolution of cloud-based data platforms (eg, AWS, Azure).
  • Conduct impact assessments, evaluate solution options, and ensure architectural decisions balance business needs and technical constraints.
  • Support the adoption of modern data technologies-data streaming, APIs, data lakes, warehouse solutions, MDM, and semantic layers.
  • Champion a data-driven culture and help teams make intelligent, compliant use of organisational data assets.

Requirements

  • Experience designing large-scale data solutions within complex or regulated environments.
  • Hands-on knowledge of cloud data technologies (AWS/Azure), data warehouses, data lakes, streaming technologies, and ETL/ELT frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, data standards, metadata management, and data quality principles.
  • Ability to create and communicate architectural artefacts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of security and privacy considerations, including data protection legislation (eg, GDPR)
