Client looking for a Data Architect with a strong AWS background - 10+ years of experience, who will be integrated in the Platform & Architecture crew. Their team is owning a Marketing Data Platform, hosted on AWS. Within the Marketing & Sales Domain, they are acting as data hub to provide data to many business use case. So they are seeking an individual who can lead internal projects aimed at boosting the team's productivity - at improving how they supply data to humans, machines, and agents. Ideal candidate should have a vision on what a modern data platform should be and help us in improving their existing data stack and also in crafting a vision of what should be the future of this data platform.
Responsibilities include: Enhancing Data Product Factory, implementing data observability, improving metadata management, reviewing input/output data handling processes, rolling out DBT, and expanding data observability.
Mandatory skills include:
Architecture design & documentation:
Quality of design, scalability, and maintainability of solution, Data, and architecture decisions.
Architecture presentation (internal and external/Team meeting/Tech reviews)
Design presentation to x-functional as well as internal with team and tech reviews
Problem Solving & Innovations
Ability to identify root causes, propose creative solutions, and experiment with new tools or methods.
Data Architecture expertise
Data Modelling, Metadata Management, Data Observability, Storage Optimization, Columnar Data Formats
Data Engineering
ETL orchestration (eg Airflow), Expert in SQL, Python, Coding best practice
Soft skills include: Delivery and Impact oriented Takes end-to-end responsibility for deliverables, including post-release issues. Focuses on root causes and solutions. Balances engineering rigor with delivery Clear technical communication Can explain technical concepts clearly and knowledge transfer effectively to both engineers and business stakeholders.
Duties include: Writing clear, structured documentation of the data preparation process, including code comments, detailed explanations of transformations, and any challenges encountered.
Ensure that all pre processing code is well[1]documented and stored in GitLab, with clear commit messages and comments explaining each step of the process. Maintain proper versioning of datasets and code.
Fluent English speaking with strong communication skills are Mandatory. French speaking may be seen as a Plus. Candidate needs to be flexible to travel On-Site to Paris on average once per month.
