Job description

As a senior engineer, you'll own escalated incidents, deliver technical projects, and guide both clients and colleagues toward robust, modern solutions. This is a varied role covering a broad set of technologies across multiple industries, including legal, logistics, manufacturing and professional services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver complex projects:

    • Office relocations, server/cloud migrations, onboarding, and infrastructure upgrades
    • M365 migrations (Exchange, file shares to SharePoint/OneDrive)
    • VoIP and Teams telephony deployments
  • Configure and support:

    • Routers, firewalls, switches, access points
    • Windows Server (installations, upgrades, AD/DNS/GPO management)
    • Virtual platforms: Hyper-V, RDS farms, Citrix (including Citrix Published Apps)
  • Administer and secure Microsoft 365:

    • Azure AD, Intune, Endpoint Manager, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint
    • MFA, Conditional Access, and compliance/security policies
  • Deploy and manage backup & cybersecurity tools (Veeam, EDR/XDR solutions, M365 backups, email filtering)

  • Work with mobile device management (Android, iOS)

  • Ensure proactive monitoring and remediation using RMM and ITSM platforms

  • Mentor 1st / 2nd line engineers, assist with documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement

  • Adhere to SLAs, prioritise effectively, and communicate clearly with end-users and stakeholders

Requirements

This role is central to delivering the excellent service we're known for-supporting diverse client environments, deploying cutting-edge solutions, and leading technical improvement., You are a proactive problem solver with a passion for technology and a commitment to delivering real value to clients. You work well under pressure, balance BAU and project work effectively, and can explain complex topics in plain English. You'll ideally have:

  • 10+ years' IT experience, including at least 3 years in a 3rd line/Senior MSP role

  • Proven expertise in M365/Azure ecosystem and Windows Server environments

  • Strong knowledge of networks, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, VLAN's, VPN and ZTNA technologies

  • Experience with RMM/PSA platforms

  • Hands-on knowledge of backup and cybersecurity tooling

  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally to client sites Soft Skills & Attributes
