What you'll do?
- Model and structure data from multiple sources: nutrition databases, wearables, training logs and user behavior.
- Develop and validate predictive models: energy needs, recovery patterns, performance correlations.
- Define data collection strategies: what to gather, how to gather it ethically, and how to make it useful.
- Collaborate with backend engineers: integrate data pipelines within our AWS environment.
- Translate insights into product features: this will help athletes make smarter, easier daily nutrition decisions., * Backend: Java (Spring Boot).
- Frontend: React Native (mobile).
- Infrastructure: AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3).
- Data stack: evolving. Open to your input on tools for ingestion, transformation and modeling.
What we offer
Join a small, focused team with a strong foundation and global ambition, where you'll work directly with founders, engineers, and performance experts. You'll help build technology that brings peace of mind to athletes at every level and contribute to a product that supports people in feeling, fueling, and performing better. We offer hybrid and remote work options that are flexible and trust-based.
Requirements
- Background in data science, applied machine learning, or statistics.
- Experience with structured and unstructured data in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
- Proficiency in Python and SQL; Java is a plus.
- Familiarity with Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- You like clean, practical solutions and believe that data should make life simpler, not noisier.
- (Bonus) Interest in sports science, nutrition, or human performance.
