Job description

A. Design & Documentation

  • 3D Modelling: Create detailed 3D models and assemblies of anti-vandal cabins, static welfare cabins, and our solar toilet range using SolidWorks.
  • Engineering Drawings: Generate complete, accurate 2D manufacturing and fabrication drawings (including BOMs and cut lists) for production of sheet metal and structural components.
  • Design for Manufacture: Work closely with the production team to ensure designs are optimised for cost, ease of assembly, and efficient manufacturing processes.

B. Systems Integration

  • System Design: Specify, select, and integrate all electrical and power generation components, including solar PV panels, charge controllers, battery banks, inverters, and generators.
  • Power Analysis: Perform power consumption calculations, solar yield assessments, and battery sizing to ensure reliable, continuous off-grid operation of our units, including an understanding of low voltage (DC) and mains voltage (AC) cabin circuit diagrams.
  • Component Sourcing: Evaluate, and specify proprietary components (e.g., lighting, heating, sensors, water pumps) to ensure compatibility with power limits and regulatory standards.

C. Compliance & Process

  • Standards Adherence: Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., electrical safety, building regulations, CDM regulations, etc.) for the target markets.
  • Documentation: Manage all design files, revisions, and technical documentation within the MRP system.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement design improvements to enhance product performance, reliability, durability, and cost-efficiency.
