Job description

I'm partnered with a fast-growing Managed Service Provider seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. This is a senior, hands-on role supporting a wide range of customer environments and delivering complex project work across on-premise, hybrid and cloud infrastructures. You'll act as a key escalation point, lead infrastructure transformation projects, and help shape the MSP's cloud and security strategy., * Act as an escalation point from the 3rd line team for complex technical issues

  • Deliver infrastructure projects across Windows Server, VMware, Azure and network environments
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and enhance customer infrastructure (servers, virtualisation, networks, security)
  • Manage and support cloud platforms, primarily Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
  • Implement best practice across identity, access, security and networking
  • Produce detailed documentation and support continuous service improvement
  • Work directly with clients to gather requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions

Requirements

MSP experience is essential

Strong infrastructure project delivery experience for a minimum of four years

Hands-on expertise with:

  • Windows Server
  • VMware vSphere/ESXi
  • Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP
  • Networking (VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls)
  • Azure & Microsoft 365
  • Intune, Autopilot and MDM experience
  • Backup, replication and DR platforms
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Understanding of security best practices (EDR, MFA, identity security, firewalls)
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with customers
  • MSP experience is essential
  • Strong infrastructure project delivery experience for a minimum of four years
