Job description
collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, define, and document data quality rules and requirements
- design and implement data quality metrics dashboards and reports to track performance and ensure adherence to standards
- identify, investigate, and coordinate the resolution of data quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
- assist in defining, documenting, and managing data standards, policies, and procedures as part of the broader Data Governance program
- work with Data Owners and Data Stewards to implement data governance practices and ensure alignment across domains
- contribute to data documentation efforts, such as creating data dictionaries, tracking data lineage, and developing governance workflows
- act as a liaison between business and technical teams to promote effective communication and collaboration in data governance initiatives
- support the design, development, and implementation of a comprehensive data governance framework that aligns with the organization's strategic objectives and supports its data-driven culture
- collaborate with key stakeholders to establish data governance policies, standards, and guidelines that address data classification, data access, data usage, data retention, and data quality
- support the SteerCo (Steering Committee) with the validation of the Data Governance objectives, the decision on the TOM (Target Operating Model) and meeting agenda. Drafting minutes and sharing decisions and next actions
- drafting the Data Governance Policy in line with SteerCo decisions
- support the Data Catalogue initiative, including validating definitions and metadata attributes for business objects, terms and concepts submitted by Owners and Stewards
- assess current governance tools and recommend technologies to support data management, data lineage, data cataloging, and data governance workflows
- support Stewards and Owners with establishing data quality rules and measures, to design data quality monitoring processes to proactively identify and remediate data quality issues
Requirements
I'm looking for a Data Governance Specialist to help shape enterprise governance model, define quality rules, and deliver dashboards and reports that ensure compliance with standards. You'll work with Data Owners and Stewards, investigate data issues, create documentation such as dictionaries and lineage, and support SteerCo with agendas and decision tracking. Strong analytical skills, knowledge of governance best practices, and experience implementing governance tools are key., university degree in business administration, finance, risk management or a related field with exposure to data governance and quality subjects and deep understanding of IT and information management
- minimum 1 years experience in implementing data governance frameworks in large organizations
- proficiency in data governance best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
- solid understanding of data management principles, including data quality, data security, and data lifecycle management
- experience with implementing a data governance tools is a must
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management
- strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
